TULSA, Okla. - Senior Clarke Spinosa advanced to the Round of 16 in the 2013 Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships after winning two singles matches in the main draw on Thursday.

Spinosa, who holds a preseason ITA singles ranking of No. 42, began the day with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Columbia's Dragos Ignat in the first round.

Later in the day, Spinosa edged out USC's Johnny Wang 7-6 (1), 6-4 in the second round. Wang, who is ranked No. 63, had beaten the No. 3 player in the nation, Ohio State's Peter Kobelt, earlier that day.

Back in San Diego, Patrick Hall, Andrew Carlisle, and Andrew Raphaelson begin play in the Aztec Invitational tomorrow.
