TULSA, Okla. - Senior Clarke Spinosa advanced to the Round of 16 in the 2013 Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships after winning two singles matches in the main draw on Thursday.

Spinosa, who holds a preseason ITA singles ranking of No. 42, began the day with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Columbia's Dragos Ignat in the first round.

Later in the day, Spinosa edged out USC's Johnny Wang 7-6 (1), 6-4 in the second round. Wang, who is ranked No. 63, had beaten the No. 3 player in the nation, Ohio State's Peter Kobelt, earlier that day.

Spinosa, who is now 6-1 in the Fall season, will face Baylor's Patrick Pradella (No. 16) Friday morning in the Round of 16.

Back in San Diego, Patrick Hall, Andrew Carlisle, and Andrew Raphaelson begin play in the Aztec Invitational tomorrow.
