Senior Clarke Spinosa was knocked out in the Round of 16

TULSA, Okla. - Senior Clarke Spinosa narrowly lost to Baylor 16th ranked Patrick Pradella 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 in the Round of 16 of the Saint Francis ITA All-American Singles Championships Friday morning.
Spinosa knocked off Columbia's Dragos Ignat and USC's Jonny Wang yesterday to advance to Round of 16 in the main draw, but today Spinosa met his match in Pradella.
Spinosa won the tightly contested first set 7-5, before losing the second set 6-3. Spinosa opened up the third set with a 3-0 advantage, but Pradella rallied to win the next six games to advance to the quarterfinals.
Uros Petronijevic, Romain Kalaydjian, and Spinosa combined to 4-3 in their singles matches at the ITA's. Meanwhile, back in San Diego, their teammates Andrew Carlisle, Patrick Hall, and Andrew Raphaelson begin play in the Aztec Invitational at San Diego State today.
