Holmgren battled but dropped a 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-2, decision to Rapp. Despite the loss, it was an impressive showing for Holmgren, a freshman who was competing in his first collegiate competition.

Doubles play wrapped up for the Toreros with Araouzos and Holmgren dropping a close 7-6 (5) decision to SDSU's David Hough and Jan Kirchhoff.
"We learned a lot about ourselves this weekend," said Keckley. "Each player stepped up and showed some significant progress during this tournament. Now it becomes about sustaining that level and believing that when push comes to shove, we belong."

He continues to grow as a player with each match he competes in."
Pratt Keerasuntonpong and Garrett Kurtz won the back-draw of the secondary draw for doubles, earning wins against UCSD's Adrian Cordova and Naara Shin (6-3) and UC Irvine's Mason Hansen and Sasha Krasnov.
