Pierrick Ysern Back In Action

The USD men's tennis team, under the direction of 10th-year head coach Tom Hagedorn, have accepted an invitation to participate in the prestigious National Collegiate Tennis Classic to be held January 13-15 in Indian Wells, California. Hagedorn will be sending over four of his team members to participate - seniors Pierrick Ysern, Mirza Koristovic and Oscar Plotnik, and sophomore Thomas Liversage. All four players will participate in singles action, while they will split up into doubles teams of Ysern-Koristovic and Plotnik-Liversage. Ysern, last year's national runner-up, joins the Torero team after sitting out the fall season.
The men's singles championships, with a draw of 32 players, will begin on Friday at 8:00 am, with the round of 16 slated for a 11 am start. Saturday action will be for quarterfinal and semifinal action. The men's singles and doubles finals be take place on Sunday with singles beginning at 12 noon and doubles at 3:30 pm. All singles matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets, regular college scoring. Doubles matches will use pro-set scoring. Matches will take place at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden Tennis Center.
