SAN DIEGO - The University of San Diego men's tennis team is pleased to announce the signing of Emilio Mora to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Toreros beginning in 2010-2011.
Out of Rye Neck High School in Mamaroneck, New York, Mora stands at 6-1 and weighs in at 170 pounds. A 4-Star Recruit, he has reached as high as No. 60 in the nation among seniors according to TennisRecruiting.net. He is currently ranked in the Top-10 in the Middle Atlantic Section and is ranked No. 6 in the state of New York among graduating seniors.
"Emilio is a hard working, determined young athlete with a bright future in front of him here at USD," said head coach Brett Masi. "Emilio will bring a sense of competitiveness on and off the court that is exactly what this team needs for next year. As a rising talent, his recent success can be attributed to his strong work ethic, athletic ability and dedication to the sport of tennis. Both Coach Keckley and I expect Emilio to make an immediate impact next season. I anticipate great things out of Emilio over the course of his next 4 years as a Torero."
