Men's Cross Country 15th At UC Riverside Invitational

Riverside, CA - The USD men's cross country team placed 15th out of 26 teams at today's UC Riverside Invitational Meet. The Toreros totaled 221 points - the top-three places were turned in by Cal Coast TC (44 points), Utah State (45 points) and Cal Poly SLO (70 points) over the 8K course.

USD senior Antonio Lopez (Albuquerque, NM) turned in USD's best time of 25:27.70, good for 16th overall. He was followed by Steve Trudelle (93rd; 27:27.10), Brent Warnken (99th; 27:34.00), Dennis Sheehan (117th; 27:53.10), Peter Chrznowski (123rd; 28:02.50), Rob Beamer (138th; 28:24.80) and Brian Peterson (146th; 28:37.10).

The top individual time was turned in by Julius Gidabuday of Runners High -- 24:31.80. Complete results can be found at www.flashresults.com/flashwest. The Toreros will compete next weekend at the Stanford Invitational on September 28th at 4 pm.
