The University of San Diego men battled the top cross-country teams in the West Region November 15, 2003 and came away with an overall team placing of No. 25. Steve Trudelle was the Toreros top finisher with a time of 33:52. Other Toreros notables were Dennis Sheehan with a time of 34:04 for a placing of 150. Brent Warnken crossed the finish line moments later with a time a 34:25 and he was followed by USD teammate Brian Peterson's time of 34:48. Stanford won the overall team championship as a pair of Cardinal runner's Ian Dobson and Ryan Hall finished one and two.
