• USD Set to Host Distance Running Coaching Clinic


    Torero cross-country Head Coach Will Guarino is pleased to announce that USD will be hosting a distance running coaching clinic January 9 and 10th. Legendary coaches Joe Vigil, Dan Green, and Joe Newton will speak at the two-day event, which is geared towards coaches, educators, and athletes.

  • Three XC Runners Named to WCC All-Academic Team


    Three Torero cross-country runners were named to WCC All-Academic Team, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon. Junior Ashton Padberg was named to the ten-person women's team, and Matthew Beasley and Spencer Hoffman earned honorable mention on the men's side.

  • Toreros Close Out Season at NCAA Regionals


    The USD men's and women's cross-country team wrapped up their regular season Friday at the NCAA West Regionals, held at the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif. Freshman Sam Mattice paced the women's team once again, finishing the 6k in 22:06, good for 95th place. The women's team had three runners finish in the top 150 and earned 25th place overall (out of 34 teams). The men's team was led by Spencer Hoffman, who ran the 10k in 32:36.

  • Toreros Head to Stanford for NCAA Regionals


    The USD cross-country teams will head to the Bay Area to compete in the NCAA Regionals at the Stanford Golf Course on Friday. The women's 6k will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the men's 10k at noon.
