April 29, 2014
The connection between Linda Vista and the University of San Diego is apparent with multiple signs saying "Welcome to Linda Vista, Home of the University of San Diego" at entrances to the community. It serves as a symbol of respect for the university, but it is reminds students, faculty and administrators of the responsibility to our home we call Linda Vista.
The 29th Annual Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair & Parade, held on the 6900 block of Linda Vista road, (between Comstock and Ulric Streets) is intended to celebrate diversity and promote cultural awareness and understanding within the City of San Diego. Its numerous cultural exhibits, carnival rides, varied ethnic food offerings and delightful artistic performances are eagerly anticipated by over 15,000 residents and visitors to San Diego.
This year, the University of San Diego was represented by over 60 student athletes from the Swimming and Diving, Men's and Women's Soccer and Men's and Women's Basketball teams. It was USD Athletics opportunity to support and show appreciation for our community as well as connect with the everyday men, women and children of Linda Vista.
