  • Johnny Dee named to Capital One Academic All-Am...


    (San Diego, Calif.) - A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America District Eight selection, USD senior guard Johnny Dee has advanced to the national team where he was selected one of six players to the Third Team. Dee, who carries a 3.49 grade-point average as a Business Administration major, joined five other NCAA Division I players on the Third Team.

  • Dee and Forrest Earn Amateur Star Of Year Award


    USD seniors Johnny Dee (men's basketball) and Grant Forrest (golf) are among a list of eight individuals who were selected as 2014 Amateur Stars of the Year by the San Diego Hall of Champions. The eight will be honored at the 69th Salute to the Champions on Monday, Feb. 23 at the Town & Country Hotel Convention Center, the same evening former San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, baseball great Chris Chambliss and baseball/basketball standout Tony Clark will be inducted into the Breitbard Hall of Fame.

    CLEVELAND - The 50 winners of the 17th annual Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team were announced by the FCS ADA, today. USD senior captain Troy McClelland (San Diego, Calif.), who has a 3.89 GPA in Accountancy, was selected to this prestigious team.
