Prepped at Mater Dei High School in San Diego...in her senior year, she averaged 13.9 ppg, 1.9 apg, 8.6 rpg, and 2.0 spg...she was also a McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior, and named MDCHS Female Athlete of the Year...she helped lead her team to four consecutive Mesa League championships...named first-team All-Mesa League as a senior...as a junior, she helped lead her team to a 21-6 overall record, while averaging 12.1 ppg, 1.5 apg, 7.8 rpg and 1.1 bpg...as a junior, she was second-team All-San Diego Section, and she was the Mesa League MVP...as a sophomore, she averaged 15.1 ppg, 2.3 apg, en route to a first-team All-Mesa League distinction...As a freshman, she averaged 12.4 ppg, and 9.8 rpg wen route to a first-team All-Mesa League distinction.

Alexandria Regan Young was born on Dec. 23, 1995 in San Diego, Calif....she is the daughter of Larry and Audrey Young...Chose to attend USD because of the family environment, the academic excellence, the school size and atmosphere, as well as the outstanding women's basketball program...notes the first sport she participated in was Taekwondo, which she received a red belt in.
