USD claimed a win in the Varsity 4 but was edged in the Varsity 8 race by champion Gonzaga.

WCC Honors 110 USD Student-Athletes on Commissioner's Honor Roll

The nine WCC schools put a total of 1,093 student-athletes on the list from the 13 sports that the conference sponsors, which is another new conference record.

Sophomore (2012-13):
Raced with the varsity... Rowed on the 2V8 at the WCC Championships... Competed in every event in the fall and every varsity race during the spring.

Freshman (2011-12): Rowed with the varsity... Competed in the San Diego Crew Classic, UVA Invitational, WIRA Championships and Pacific Coast Rowing Championships... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.23 GPA.

High School: Attended Edison High School... Rowed for NAC... Took third place at NARF with the novice-A8 and won the petite final with the JV8 at the SD Crew Classic as a senior... Also competed in water polo and swimming... Named Most Valuble Defensive Player in 2009 and 2010 and won the Coach's Award in 2008... Was a Scholar Athlete in water polo ('08,'09,'10) and swimming ('08,'09)... Also competed with the Huntington Beach Water Polo Club and Pacific Sans Swim Team... Was a 2009 Junior Olympics Bronze Medalist with 16U team in water polo, in addition to being a 2010 Cal Cup Bronze Medalist with the 18U team.

Personal: Born February 6, 1993 in Newport Beach, Calif.... Daughter of Kathleen and Peter De Salvo... Was also recruited by USC, UCLA, Washington, Loyola Marymount, UC San Diego, and Louis and Clark College... Enjoys hanging out with friends outdoors; whether that be going to the beach, camping, hiking, or scuba diving... One of the greatest things she has been a part of so far was a school travel club trip to Costa Rica for eco-tourism.
