WCC Honors 110 USD Student-Athletes on Commissioner's Honor Roll

The nine WCC schools put a total of 1,093 student-athletes on the list from the 13 sports that the conference sponsors, which is another new conference record.

The Toreros posted wins against Central Florida and SMU on sunday.


Toreros win four races on day two of Longhorn Invitational

USD put in a strong showing against Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Junior ('10-'11): Competed with the 2V8... Member of the 2V8 squads that took first place at both WCCs and WIRAs... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.18 GPA.

Sophomore ('09-'10): Named second-team All-WIRA in helping lead the varsity to a WIRA championship... was voted Most Improved on the varsity squad.

Freshman ('08-'09): In her first year rowing competed with both the novice and varsity squads.

High School: Attended Santa Catalina Upper School... did not row in high school... earned four varsity letters in swimming, three in water polo and one in soccer... was named MVP of her soccer team.

Personal: Born March 31st, 1990 in Monterey, Calif.... parents are Sonja and Jackie Jegat... chose USD because she loved the community and the size of the school... notes that she loves to box for fun and has given up Facebook for Lent.

Major: Communications.

Minor: Business and Spanish.
