Over 1,000 WCC student-athletes garnered honors on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
The Toreros also had seven honorable mention selections.
The nine WCC schools put a total of 1,093 student-athletes on the list from the 13 sports that the conference sponsors, which is another new conference record.
USD student-athletes were part of the effort to raise $1,500 for local families.
WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll - 2012 & 2013
Junior (2012-13): Raced with the varsity... Competed in every race in the fall... Rowed in the Longhorn Invitational, San Diego Crew Classic, Oregon State Classic and PCRCs... Named WCC All-Academic honorable mention (3.44 GPA) and to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Sophomore (2011-12): Raced with the novice and varsity squads... Competed in the Longhorn Invitational, San Diego Crew Classic, UVA Invitational, WIRA Championships and Pacific Coast Rowing Championships... Named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.35 GPA.
Freshman (2010-11): Competed with the novice A, helping them take third place at WIRAs... Raced with the novice B boat, taking first place at the San Diego Crew Classic... Named novice MVP and was the only walk-on in the novice A boat at WIRAs.
High School: Attended Moore Catholic High School... earned varsity letters in soccer, basketball and softball... was named her team's MVP and won the Coaches Award... did not row.
Personal: Born May 11, 1992 in New York, NY... parents are Katina and Richard Lucas... was named to USD's Dean's List.
