WCC Honors 110 USD Student-Athletes on Commissioner's Honor Roll

The nine WCC schools put a total of 1,093 student-athletes on the list from the 13 sports that the conference sponsors, which is another new conference record.

Sophomore (2012-13): Raced with the varsity... Competed in every event during the fall... Rowed in the Longhorn Invitational, San Diego Crew Classic, Oregon State Classic and WIRAs in the spring... Was a WCC All-Academic honorable mention selection and a WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll pick (3.78 GPA).

Freshman (2011-12): Rowed with the novice... Participated in Row 4 the Cure, the San Diego Fall Classic and NARF during the fall... Was part of the 2nd Novice 8 that took first at WIRAs... Also competed in the San Diego Crew Classic... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.88 GPA.

High School: Attended Edmonds Woodway High School... Competed in swimming, soccer and softball... Received the 4-D award (Dedication, Determination, Discipline, Desire) for the 2008 and 2009 softball seasons... Voted most inspirational for the 2008 soccer season... Earned the Coach's Award in 2010 for swimming.

Personal: Born March 16, 1993 in Edmonds, Wash.... Daughter of Rick and Sue Maddox... Chose USD for the opportunity to walk on to an excellent women's rowing program, small class sizes and approachable faculty and great location... Her cousins, Christopher and Michael Di Vincenzo, play football at Oregon and another cousing, Larry Bryan, played hockey for Johnson and Wales... Notes that she enjoys triathlons.
