Junior (2013-14): Competed with the V4+ and 2V8... Helped 2V8 take first place at WCC Championships and 16th at NCAA Championships... Rowed with V4+ at Pac-12 Challenge and Lake Natoma Invite... Helped V4+ beat No. Cal at Lake Natoma Invite, which helped earn them WCC Crew of the Month (April)... Part of 2V8 that was named WCC Crew of the Month in May.

Sophomore (2012-13): Raced with the varsity... Competed with the 2V8 at the WCC Championships, Longhorn Invitational and San Diego Crew Classic... Rowed in every race during the fall and every varsity race in the spring... Named WCC All-Academic honorable mention and to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.85 GPA).

Freshman (2011-12): Rowed with the varsity squad... Raced with the V4 that took second at the WCC Championships... Competed with the 2V4 at the Longhorn Invitational... Also competed in the San Diego Crew Classic and UVA Invitational... Named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.86 GPA.

High School: Attended Dana Hills High School... Did not row... Competed in basketball, earning four varsity letters... Named Dana Hills Female Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior... Was a four-year CIF Scholar-Athlete in basketball... Named her team's Most Improved Player of the Year as a junior... Earned Defensive Player of the Year honors during her senior year.

Personal: Born March 18, 1993 in Mission Viejo, Calif.... Daughter of Steve and Kathy Ward... Chose USD because of the opportunity to join the rowing team, the excellent engineering program, beautiful weather, and to be close to home... Was recruited by several schools for basketball... Is a USD Presidential Scholar... Had perfect school attendance throughout all her years of school... Enjoys spending time at Lake Havasu relaxing and wakeboarding... Notes that she also enjoys baking muffins.
