SAN DIEGO, Calif.- The University of San Diego women's soccer team (0-2-0) dropped a 3-0 decision to Cal State Northridge (2-0-0) Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match at Torero Stadium.

The Matadors scored the first goal of the match at the 17:05 mark, when Amanda Smith corralled a pass from Stephanie Norton and chipped the ball over the head of the Torero defense to take a 1-0 lead.

CSUN then doubled their lead in the 33rd minute of action, when Wendy Warner re-directed a corner kick from Norton to move the Matadors up 2-0.

The final goal of the match came in the first few minutes of the second frame when Stephanie Galaraze controlled a pass from Melissa Fernandez and slipped it past the goalkeeper to put the match at its final of 3-0.

USD was out shot 12-6, but held a territorial advantage in corner kicks, 5-3.

USD's freshman goalkeeper, McKenna Tollack was saddled with the loss in goal for the Toreros, as she allowed two goals and recorded one save. CSUN's Cynthia Jacobo was credited with the win, as she allowed no goals and recorded four saves.

The Toreros will return to action on Wednesday, when they host Texas A&M in a 7 p.m. non-conference game at Torero Stadium.
