(JUNIOR): Played in 14 matches with three starts as a midfielder...scored one goal for two points... helped lead the team to the program's first WCC championship, and into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament...scored her only goal of the season against UC Irvine (9/25/11)...took five total shots, two of which were on goal...took two shots against UC Irvine (9/25/11)...took one shot against Long Beach State (9/16/11), San Francisco (10/9/11) and one against Loyola Marymount (10/23/11).
SOPHOMORE (2010): Played in 17 matches with four starts as a mainstay in the Toreros midfield...took five shots for the season, recording two against Loyola Marymount (11/5/10), and one shot against UC Irvine (9/12/10), Portland State (9/19/10) and against San Francisco (10/15/10) ...helped the Toreros earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.
FRESHMAN (2009): Played in 11 matches with one start against Missouri State (9-20-09)...was named to the All-WCC Freshman team...had two goals this season, one against Pepperdine (10-25-09) and one against Gonzaga (10-30-09)... helped the team finish second in the prestigious West Coast Conference and earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Earned four varsity letters in soccer and one in volleyball, tack and tennis to total seven letters while at Bishop Gorman High School...soccer while playing at Bishop Goman High School...she helped lead her team to three consecutive league championships and helped the team advance to the regional finals twice...she led her team in both goals scored and assists in her junior and senior seasons, en rout to All-Conference and All-State recognitions during these seasons... as a senior, she led all of Nevada high school soccer in scoring with 33 goals and was second in assists with 18. She also was named co-valedictorian for her graduation class as she has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while at Bishop Gorman...while playing with the Player's Soccer Club team, she helped lead the team to seven Nevada State Cup championships, led the team to the US Soccer Club National Finals twice, and a US Youth Soccer finalist once.
PERSONAL: Mariah Hobbs was born on May 4, 1991...she is the daughter of Guy & Laura Hobbs...was heavily recruited by Nevada-Reno, UNLV, George Mason, New Mexico, USC, Va Tech and Swarthmore...chose to attend USD because of the soccer program, the location and academic reputation...her father Guy played baseball at UC Santa Barbara.
