JUNIOR (2005): Played in all 19 matches and started in 17...rotated between the midfeilder and defender the Toreros bolster a 1.90 goals-against-average...recorded one assist for two points...posted one assist in a 2-0 victory over Saint Mary's (10/16/05)...tallied five shots with one on goal.

SOPHOMORE (2004): Started the first 10 matches and saw action in 20 games overall... Tallied an assist in USD's 3-0 victory over UC Irvine (8/29)... Assisted on the game-winning goal against Gonzaga (10/24)... Totaled 18 shots (six on goal) throughout the season.

FRESHMAN (2003): Made an immediate impact, starting all 21 games as a true freshman... Named San Diego's Rookie of the Year... Recorded a shot in six different contests.

HIGH SCHOOL: Standout young player that competed in the Cal-North Olympic Development program... Attended San Marcos High School as a senior and Bella Vista High School as a freshman, sophomore and junior... At Bella Vista, named team captain and a First Team All-Cal league player... Also honored as the Freshman of the Year... While playing for San Marcos in the Palomar League, Young earned Second Team All-CIF honors... Also a standout student athlete, claiming All-North County Academic accolades as well... Coached by Brian Poltle at San Marcos and Billy Wisker at Bella Vista... Played for the San Diego Surf (U-18) club program and the San Juan Spirits (U-12 through U-17).

PERSONAL: Born on March 13, 1985 in Ojai, California... Recruited by Utah, Michigan, UNLV, and Texas... Chose USD for the educational, the great soccer program, and the athletic opportunities... Daughter of John and Melody Young... Majoring in Psychology... Has a twin sister who attends Long Beach State.
