Two Women's Soccer Players Earn All-Academic Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2016 West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team.  Higlighting this list are a pair of University of San Diego womne's soccer player, seniors Julia Sherwood and Caitlyn Kretzschmar

 

Julia Sherwood of San Diego is making her third consecutive appearance on the team. Five players are making their second appearances, including Jessica Nakae of San Francisco, Bizzy Phillips Bowen of BYU, Julie Vass of Santa Clara, Bri Visalli of Pepperdine and Amanda Whittle of San Francisco.


 

 

 

This season, 16 student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.75 or better, including two with perfect 4.00 GPA’s in sophomore’s Kendall Bietsch (Pacific) and Sarah Jones (Portland). 

 

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to her team.
