• O'Rourke Tabbed WCC Player of the Week


    Senior defender Meghan O'Rourke of the University of San diego women's soccer team has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. This is O'Rourke's first weekly honor of the season, and the first for the Toreros in 2014.

  • Toreros Blank No. 19 Oklahoma, 2-0


    The University of San Diego women's soccer team knocked off its second consecutive ranked opponent, and third this season, with a 2-0 blanking of No. 19 Oklahoma Sunday afternoon at Torero stadium.

  • Toreros Outlast No. 20 San Diego State 2-0


    The USD women's soccer team (2-4-2) held off a late push by No. 20 San Diego State (4-2-1) to earn a 2-0 win over their cross-town rivals in front of 1,429 fans Friday evening. The Toreros held a 1-0 lead at the half, but the Aztecs controlled the pace in the second frame, where they attempted 12 of their 14 shots. It seemed as if the Aztecs tied the match up in the 73rd minute when Jen Rupey headed in a corner kick, but a foul was called on the Aztecs and the goal was waived off. Three minutes later, Nikki Pappalardo finished a cross from Jacey Birtcher to give USD a comfortable 2-0 lead.

  • Toreros Prep for SDSU and No. 19 Oklahoma


    The University of San Diego women's soccer team (1-4-2) will finally return home this week to host a pair of non-conference matches. USD will take on cross-town rival San Diego State University on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Torero Stadium. USD then welcomes No. 19 Oklahoma to Torero Stadium on Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. kick off.
