Senior (2015): Appeared in 47 games, making 31 starts... Earned All-WCC Honorable Mention... Led the team with 11 stolen bases (4th in WCC) and nine sacrifice hits... Started all 15 WCC games... Hit .274 with five RBI... Did not committ a single error in 45 chances... Went 3-3 with one RBI and two runs scored against San Jose State (Mar. 13)... Helped USD win 105 games in her four years, the most of any recruiting class under Coach McElvain.
Junior (2014): Appeared in 36 games, making 14 starts... Hit .152 with ten runs and one RBI... Was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases... Went 1-2 with a RBI and run scored against Weber State on Mar 15.
Sophomore (2013): Played in 51 games on the year with 48 starts... Hit. .257 with three doubles and two RBI... Put together a 10-game on-base streak, which was the second-longest on the team... Tied for fifth in the PCSC in stolen bases (10) on the year... Went a season-best 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored vs. CSU Bakersfield on Apr. 14... Named to the PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.00 GPA).
Freshman (2012): Started all 42 games she appeared in... Played exclusively in left field... Hit .257 with four doubles, two triples and a home run... Drove in seven runs on the year... Led the team while going a perfect 8-for-8 in stolen bases... Named to the PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.04 GPA.
High School: Attended Granite Hills High School, lettering four times for head coach Erin Coyne... Named a San Diego Union Tribune Scholar Athlete all four years of her career... Team captain as a junior and senior... Suffered an injury during her senior year that kept her out of action... During her junior year, led the Grossmont Hills League in on base percentage, stolen bases, batting average, and fielding percentage... Her sophomore year, was named second team all-league, while ranking in the Top-10 in the league in on base percentage, stolen bases, batting average, and fielding... As a freshman, led the league in on base percentage, stolen bases, batting average, and fielding... Also competed with the San Diego Renegades club softball team and the Hot Spurs Premiere club soccer program... Her Renegades squad earned a pair of Top-10 finishes at ASA Nationals.
Personal: Born April 7, 1993 in La Mesa, Calif.... Parents are Matt and Jeanne Kurtz... Chose USD because it was her dream, it's close to home and family, and it's a beautiful campus with great weather... Was also recruited by Saint Mary's, Occidental, and North Carolina... Her brother, Cory, is playing lacrosse at Adams State University... Enjoys hanging out with her friends and family.
