Senior (2016): Named to All-WCC First Team... Started all 51 games at second base... Had career-high .345 batting average and hit 14 doubles, second most in school history... Named team's defensive player of the year... Had team-high six triples... Second on the team with 60 hits, good for the 9th most in program history... .494 slugging percentage was third best on the team... Hit .358 in WCC play... Had 17 multi-hit games including the team's only four-hit game (2/13/16 vs Maryland 4-for-4)... Third on team with five stolen bases.... WCC Player of the Week (2/15/16).
Junior (2015): Earned All-WCC Honorable Mention... Appeared in 45 games, making 39 starts...Hit .234 with 18 RBI and 19 runs... Hit .306 in WCC games with three doubles... Had three games with three RBI, the most on the team... Showed her versatility by making starts in leftfield, third base, and second base... Was hit by pitch a team-high eight times... Went 2-4 with three RBI and two runs against North Dakota (2/27/15)... Went 1-3 with three RBI and two runs against Howard (3/3/15)... Went 2-2 with three RBI, a triple, and a double against Santa Clara (4/18/15).
Sophomore (2014): Started all 47 games, playing second, third, and left field... Hit .289 with 12 RBI... Second on team with a .348 on-base percentage... Third on team in hits (41)... Tied for team lead in sacrifice bunts (7) and was hit by pitch a team-high eight times... Named WCC Player of the Week (Mar. 17)... Had eight multi-hit games.
Freshman (2013): Played in 45 games, making 29 starts on the year... Played primarily third base but made six appearances in the outfield... Hit .200 overall with two doubles, a triple and eight RBI... Only made two errors for the season for a .979 fielding pct., which was the second-best on the team among regular non-catchers... Went a season-best 3-for-4 with an RBI at Saint Mary's on Mar. 30.
High School: Earned four varsity letters in softball at Mater Dei High School... Earned first-team All-Trinity League honors as a senior while also being a Southern Section Div. 1 All-Star... Named Best All Around Performer of the Year as a senior... Garnered first-team all-league honors as a freshman and sophomore... Named her team's rookie of the year as a freshman... Her team advanced to the Div. 1 quarterfinals in her senior season... Also lettered in varsity song twice... Played with the Velocity club team.
Personal: Born August 29, 1994 in Long Beach, Calif.... Daughter of Tim and Kaylene Schultz... Chose USD because of the softball team and coaches, quality of academics and the city of San Diego... Her brother, Tyler, plays baseball at the University of San Francisco... Her dad played football at USD and her mother was a gymnast at Arizona State... Enjoys oil painting, fishing and running.
