RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The USD softball team suffered a tough 1-0 loss at the hands of Boise State on Saturday morning at the Amy S. Harrison Classic at UC Riverside. Despite only allowing two hits in the game, Cassidy Coleman (3-2) was saddled with the loss as USD moved to 5-5 on the season.

The Broncos (6-6) got runners on first and second in the bottom of the fourth before a one-out single to left field drove in the game's only run.

The Toreros' offense came from three players. Lauren Tomey maintained her torrid hitting by putting in a 3-for-3 day at the plate, while Dana Prelsnik and Morgan Kurtz each collected two hits apiece.

Coleman threw 6.0 innings, walking five and striking out six.

USD stranded runners on base in six of the seven innings.

The Toreros return to the field for another 9 am start against Boise State on Sunday before wrapping up the weekend against UC Riverside at 2 pm.
