The Toreros split their four-game series at Saint Mary's this past weekend, winning the second game of the doubleheader on both days. Mary Grabowski provided the spark in both USD wins by hitting late home runs that lifted the Toreros to victory. Grabowski connected for a go-ahead three-run shot in the sixth inning that eventually led to a 4-1 win on Friday. She followed that with a two-run homer in the ninth that broke a 2-2 tie and gave USD a 4-2 win in the series finale on Saturday. Jenny Lahitte won both of her starts on the weekend, posting a 1.31 ERA, allowing three runs in 16.0 innings pitched while striking out 13.
