SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego softball team had 14 players selected to the 2011-12 Pacific Coast Softball Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Recipients of the academic honor must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

USD's 14 selections were the second most in the conference behind Portland State, who had 15 honorees. Northern Colorado also placed 14 players on the honor roll. Of USD's Honor Roll recipients, six of them were previous honorees. Dana Prelsnik, Chelsea Kamai, Jenny Lahitte, Lauren Tomey, Mickell Escobar and Kylie Ordos were each named to the Honor Roll last season.

Altogether a conference-record 138 student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll this season from the PCSC's 12 member schools.
