• Coleman Named USD Softball Assistant Coach


    Head softball coach Melissa McElvain has announced the addition of former Torero standout Cassidy Coleman to her staff. Coleman, who is USD's all-time leader in strikeouts, will be an assistant coach, mainly working with the Torero pitching staff.

  • Coleman named to NFCA All-Region Team


    The awards and honors keep piling up for senior pitcher Cassidy Coleman. Two days after the senior ace was named WCC Pitcher of the Year, she was named to the NFCA All-Region Second Team. Coleman becomes just the second player in program history to garner All-Region Honors; catcher Taylor Hensley was named to the second team in 2010 and 2012.

  • Six Toreros Earn All-WCC Honors


    The USD Softball team had six players earn WCC All-Conference honors, the conference office announced Tuesday. Senior Cassidy Coleman was named WCC Pitcher of the Year and she was joined on the first team by senior shortstop Kylie Ordos and junior first baseman Caitlin Rooney. Senior centerfielder Dana Prelsnik, senior pitcher Jenny Lahitte, and junior third baseman Chloe Kaneko were named to the second team. The Toreros' six all-conference selections were the second most in the WCC, trailing only conference champion BYU, which had seven.
