What is your most memorable swimming/diving moment? Why?
I actually have a couple! One was the 400 IM at my state meet, it was my last chance to qualify for Long Course Jr. Nationals (it was the event I was closest in) and I made it! I was so happy when I looked up at the scoreboard and saw my time, it was amazing, and on top of it all I won! It was an awesome moment. The other one was at zones in 2009. My first event was the 800, I got second in my heat. I didn't expect to win or even to get second so I was super excited, then I find out the girl who beat me was 14 so I won for the 15-18 girls! It was a huge surprise and I was so excited to do so well at such a big meet. It was so great to represent the SC team.
What is the best part about going to school at USD? Why?
It's warm, it's sunny, the pool is outside, it has small classes, it's beautiful, it's close to the beach...what more is there to ask for!?
What piece of coaching and/or personal advice has stuck with you over the years?
My coach just told be today that "a few minutes of pain could mean a lifetime of happiness"...I thought it was a pretty cool line haha
Favorite TV show: Pretty Little Liars and Teen Wolf Favorite Movie: She's The Man Favorite Food: Japanese Food Favorite place to spend time: The beach! Most listened to song on my ipod: Please Don't Go by Mike Posner
