  • Named team Most Valuable Swimmer twice (2014, 2017)
  • Helped lead team to four straight Big Island League championships (2014-17)
  • Guided team to second-place finish in high school State meet in the 200 free relay (Big Island League record)
  • Earned Athlete of the Year honors as a senior in 2017
  • Set high school team records in the 200 free and 500 free during 2017
  • Age group state champion in the 100 backstroke (2017)
  • Earned the Coach’s Award as a sophomore in 2015
  • Swam club for the Academy Swim Club
  • Set team records in the 200 free, 500 free, 100 free, 100 back and 200 back
  • Won the state championship in the 100 back in 2016
  • Earned four varsity letters in water polo
  • Earned Most Valuable Player, Most Improved and team captain honors with the water polo team
  • Four-year water polo starter and earned a BIIF first-team award

  • Considering a major in behavioral neuroscience

  • Chose San Diego because of the location, academic programs and facilities, the swim team and coaches, the atmosphere on campus and school pride
  • Enjoys ocean water activities (surfing, paddling, open water swims), the television show Lost, fish tacos, spending time at the beach, and watching The Goonies
