LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The USD women's swim team was in action on day one of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Wednesday afternoon at East Los Angeles College, competing in a pair of relays on the day. The Toreros set a new team record with a 1:42.95 in the 200-yard medley relay (Reierson, Andruzzi, Stone, Kimmel), besting the previous record of 1:43.31 set in 2011. USD finished in seventh place in that event.
The Toreros also posted a fourth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay with their squad (Finucane, Taylor, Noonan, Andruzzi) finishing with a time of 7:33.58, a season-best in that event.
Day two action on Thursday will include the first individual events as well as another relay. 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 free and 200 free relay prelims and finals will be run on Thursday.
