(Long Beach, CA) The Toreros finished strong with seven individual qualifying times on Friday and Saturday at the Speedo Cup including a 2nd place finish in the 400 Individual Medley and a 4th place finish in the 200 breaststroke by senior Ashley Swart.

On Friday, junior Meghan Peter took 11th place in a field of 81 athletes in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.67. Later in the day, the A squad swam a 7:52.26 in the 800 free relay for a 10th place finish. Swart's 2nd place finish came during the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:18.44.

Also posting times in the finals for the Toreros were sophomore Joy Miller with a 59.60 in the 100 fly and senior Ashley Rose with a 1:00.09 in the backstroke.

On Saturday, Swart captured 4th place in the 200 breaststroke in 2:18.29. In the finals, Rose posted a time of 2:09.01 in the 200 backstroke and Miller recorded a 2:09.54 in the 200 butterfly. The A squad also placed 9th in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:35.30.

San Diego finished 11th overall in a field of 20 teams with 218 points. The Toreros take some time off to rest for Thanksgiving but return to action on December 10 to host the Palm Tree Invitational which begins at 12:00 pm.
