• Torero Swimmers Dive into Competitive Action


    The University of San Diego women's swim team had their first competitive action Friday afternoon when competed in a pentathlon against San Diego State at the Aztec Aquaplex. The meet was the first of the season for both squads and gave each team their first chance to get a lot of swimming in in a semi-competitive environment. While the meet was more of a structured scrimmage, SDSU wound up on top by a score of 33-24. The first five events of the day - 100 free, 100 fly, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 IM- were combined to make up the pentathlon, with points being allotted accordingly. The meet concluded with a set of sprints in the 50 fly, 50 back, 50 breast, and 50 free, and ended with the 500 free.

    The University of San Diego swim and dive team was named by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-American Team.

  • Nine Swimmers Named MPSF Scholar-Athletes


    Seniors Erica Burmood and Eleanor Phillips were honored for the third time in their career, while Keenan Lineback and Taylor Noonan earned their second recognition.

  • Five Toreros Named to All-MPSF Team


    Five members of the USD Swim and Dive team were picked as All-MPSF selections. Keenan Lineback was named to the first team in both the 400-yard IM and 1650-yard freestyle. Sarah Reierson was named to the second team for the 100 and 200-yard backstroke, Gwen Walter and Taylor Noonan were second team picks for the 500-yard freestyle, and Jackie Taylor also was a second team selection for the 200-yard freestyle.
