• Seniors Shine in Final Home Meet


    The USD Swim Team was edged by San Diego State 139-106 Friday afternoon at the USD Sports Center Pool. Keenan Lineback and Taylor Noonan, who were honored before the meet for Senior Day, combined to win three events. Lineback won the 1000 freestyle (10:21.75) and 200 Fly (2:05.66), while Noonan took first in the 500 Free (5:06.41).

  • Jackie Taylor Named MPSF Athlete of the Week


    Junior Jackie Taylor was named the MPSF Female Athlete of the Week after taking first place in the 100 and 200 freestyle at last weekend's Beach Cup in Fresno. This is Taylor second weekly award this season (Dec. 24). The junior from San Ramon, Calif. was first to stop the clock in the100 free (52.07) and 200 free (1:53.33), and anchored the winning 800 free relay (1:50.85). Taylor also anchored four other relays: the 200 MR (23.89), 200 FR (23.68), 400 MR (51.49), and 400 FR (51.11).

  • Toreros Take Second in the Beach Cup


    The USD Swim team wrapped up the 2015 Beach Cup Saturday afternoon, earning second place with 549 points to finish ahead of LMU (443) and Pepperdine (218). Fresno State took first place with 887 points. The Toreros had numerous top five times and were led by Jackie Taylor, who finished first in both the 100 and 200 freestyles.

  • Toreros Win Two Events in First Day of Beach Cup


    The USD Swim Team had a strong opening day at the Beach Cup where they competed against LMU, Pepperdine, and Fresno State (the host school). Keenan Lineback took first place in the 500 freestyle and USD won the 800 free relay to help the Toreros' finish the day with 171 points, putting them in second place behind Fresno State's 277 points.
