Women's Tennis competes in Tempe and San Diego

The Toreros wrap-up their fall season in two tournaments this weekend

Junior (2014-15): Went 5-19 overall in singles with a 5-9 record in dual matches, playing at the No. 4 and 5 spots... Went 3-19 overall in doubles with a 3-10 mark in dual matches... Went 3-2 against WCC opponents in doubles.

Sophomore (2013-2014)
: Went 3-21 overall in singles with a 2-16 mark in dual matches... Went6-14 overall in doubles with a 4-10 mark in dual matches... Posted a 1-3 overall singles record and a 1-3 overall doubles mark in the fall season.

Freshman (2013): Morkel-Brink went 2-5 in singles and 1-4 in doubles during the spring of 2013... Did not compete during the Fall... Played at the No. 5 and 6 spot in the Toreros singles lineup... Partnered with Nicole Ramser and Stephanie Hoffpauir in doubles.

High School: Attended Herschel Girls School in Cape Town, South Africa where she played for Coach Dean Botha.

Personal: Known as Miki, she was born on November 26, 1994 in Johannesburg, South Africa... Daughter of Gerhard Morkel-Brink... Was also recruited by Winthrop, Texas Tech, Mississippi State, Florida State, Texas-Arlington, and Texas... Chose USD for the coaches, the location, for USD's renown business school, and to be a part of a successful program... She loves being outdoors and doing activities such as hiking, surfing, water-skiing, and snorkeling... Other than tennis her favorite sport to watch is rugby and track and field... She loves all music but her favorite is anything acoustic.
