Anna Depenau won both her singles and doubles match

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -The No. 51 University of San Diego women's tennis team (8-7, 3-1) knocked off BYU (7-7, 1-3) Friday evening for their third WCC win of the season.
The Toreros grabbed the elusive doubles point after winning all three matches to take the early lead. Cara Brown and Marta Stojanovic won 8-3 at the No. 3, which was followed by an 8-6 win by Stephanie Hoffpauir and Mikayla Morkel-Brink at the No. 2 to clinch the doubles point. Laura Claus and Anna Depenaualso took care of business, winning 8-4 at the No. 1.
In singles, Laura Claus, who is ranked No. 108 by the ITA, continued to build her resume with a 6-3, 6-1 win at the No. 1. Anna Depenaufollowed that with a 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 3 to give the Toreros a 3-0 lead.
The Cougars answered back at the No. 6 where they dealt a 7-5, 6-0 loss to Nicole Ramser. However, the Toreros would clinch the victory shortly after at the No. 2 where Stephanie Hoffpauirwon 6-0, 6-4.
With the match decided, the Cougars would take the last two matches. Cara Brown fell 6-7 (7-4), 6-2, 1-0 (10-6) at the No. 4 and Mikayla Morkel-Brinklost 6-4, 6-7 (7-5), 1-0 (0-5) to bring the final score to 4-3.
The Toreros return to action on Monday when they host cross-town rival San Diego State (10-4) at 11:00 a.m.
