SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's tennis team was ranked No. 61 in the first ITA rankings of 2014. The Toreros ended last season at No. 61.

The Toreros finished fourth in the WCC last season after going 5-3 and 12-11 overall. Head Coach Sherri Stephens lost three players to graduation, but returns Marta Stojanovic, Shani Blecher, and Anna Depenau.

The Toreros were the third highest ranked WCC team behind Saint Mary's (No. 37) and Pepperdine (No. 48). Santa Clara came in right behind USD at No. 67.

The Toreros kick off the 2014 season January 18 at 10:00 a.m. when they host Cal State Fullerton at the Hogan Tennis Center
