SAN DIEGO, Calif.- The University of San Diego women's tennis team opens their spring dual match season on Saturday with a home match against Cal State Fullerton at 10:00 a.m. from USD's West Courts. The Toreros open the season with a No. 67 ranking after posting a 13-12 record in 2010, earning a final ranking of 65th.

This year's squad will be led by four returners, juniors Juliette Coupez, Maja Sujica, Maria Raygada, and sophomore Laura Claus, that will help guide the Toreros' four newcomers. Coupez led the Toreros with five wins during the fall and teamed with Sujica for a team-best 4-3 doubles record in the fall.

Raygada was 2-0 in the fall after posting the team's best singles record last season at 24-10 en route to earning her second All-WCC singles honorable mention honor, while Claus, an All-WCC singles second-teamer in 2010, was second on the team during the fall with four singles wins.

USD is 14-3 against the Titans all-time, posting a record of 11-3 at home. Both teams opened the season against each other last year as well, with USD defeating Cal State Fullerton 7-0 at home.

The Titans finished last season 4-16 overall and feature one All-Big West honoree in sophomore Tiffany Mai, who went 7-12 in dual match play last season.
