(San Diego, CA) - The USD women's tennis team, ranked No. 57 in the nation and 2-0 on the season after wins over Hawaii (7-0) and CS Fullerton (5-2), will be tested in their next two matches beginning with No. 11 Cal (1-0) this coming Saturday, Jan. 27th, at 11:00 a.m. at the USD West Courts. Cal is coached by Jan Brogan (29th year) and the team is led by Susie Babos, the 2006 NCAA singles champion. Babos is currently ranked No. 3 in the ITA rankings, and is followed by teammates Nina Henkel (#14), Cristina Visico (#27) and Zsuzsanna Fodor (#32). USD's Monica Weisener, the team's No. 1 player, is currently unranked but owns a solid Fall win over Nebraska's Imke Reimers, the 30th ranked player in the nation. USD will host the No. 3 USC Trojans next Thursday, Feb. 1st, at 1:30 pm at the USD west courts.
