SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The University of San Diego women’s tennis team rose to No. 40 in the ITA rankings released on Tuesday. The Toreros were previously ranked No. 49, but defeated No. 28 Arizona 4-2 on Saturday to boost their resume.
The Toreros, who are the reigning WCC Champions, are 2-2 on the season, but both of their losses came to top-five teams (No. 3 UCLA and No. 5 Stanford).
The Toreros will face another ranked opponent when they return to the court Tuesday as they host No. 65 Hawaii at 1:30 p.m.
