Although the Toreros picked up the majority of first sets in singles play, the San Diego State Aztecs (12-10, 2-2 MW) battled back to solidify the victory.

    The University of San Diego women's tennis team (3-12, 2-5 WCC) competed in yet another nail-biting contest Sunday afternoon at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center. The Toreros stayed mentally tough in singles to outlast the Gonzaga Bulldogs (11-7, 2-5 WCC) 4-3. Junior Shani Blecher would clinch for the Toreros for the first time this season, ousting Bulldogs' Melanie Yates 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

  • Toreros Suffer Heartbreaking Loss to Portland

    The University of San Diego women's tennis team (2-12, 1-5 WCC) endured a heartbreaking loss Thursday afternoon at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center. With four of the six singles matches going into third sets, it was clear the Toreros left it all on the court. However, the No.55-ranked Portland Pilots managed to narrowly pull away with the victory over the Toreros 4-3.
