Whitney Henry finished well in the 100m and 200m race at Point Loma

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The USD women's track team was back in action Saturday at a meet hosted by Point Loma Nazarene. The Toreros faired well against the competition and competed in a variety of different events. Whitney Henry performed well in the sprints, running 13.36 and 27.46 for the 100 and 200m respectively.
In the 1500m race Laura Wells paced the Toreros with a 5:11. She was followed by Stephanie Sollars (5:18) and Sarah Coxhead (5:20). The trio also doubled up, running in the 800m, where Wells ran a 2:35, and freshman Nicole Riley staged a remarkable last 300 meters to run a 2:36. The Toreros will compete next in the Long Beach Invitational on 4/19.
