• Gillian Races and Delivers Another USD Record


    Good Friday delivers good news of Thursday's late night 10,000m women's race. Gillian Gorelik delivered a superlative performance at the 2014 Mt. Sac Invitational Silver Elite race. She finished 16th place out of 39 individuals and finished with a time of 35:28.79 in the 6.2 miles race. She averaged 5:43 seconds per mile, and had a ferocious finish to pass so many on the last lap.

    Gorelik has done unbelievable things in a short period of outdoor track racing. In 16 days she has managed to break two of the three USD school records that she has challenged. The third school record was missed by just 0.20 seconds.

  • Toreros Bring the Heat at Pomona-Pitzer Meet


    The Torero track team was a force to be reckoned with on Pomona-Pitzer's sun-soaked track at their 28th annual invitational. Both the men and women's team delivered outstanding performances in the 1,500 and 800 meter races. According to head coach Will Guarino, "Today there was a tremendous performance by the Toreros. We saw some raw grit by a huge segment of the team. It marks our best showing of the season, with more yet to come."

  • Gillian Gorelik & Adam Bodine Shine at Cal Nevada


    Gillian Gorelik took full advantage of leaving her footprints on the 5,000 meter track of the Cal Nevada race at UCSD. The senior got second place and ran a stellar race of 17:17 in the 5,000m. She set a huge personal best and provided her team with the confidence that is necessary to truly kick off the racing season.
