Played and started in all 30 matches...was second on the team in kills with 322...was third on the team in blocks with 67...recorded double-digit kills in 18 matches... recorded a season-high 17 kills in a win against Pepperdine (10/5/13)... recorded 16 kills against No. 1 Texas (8/31/13)... recorded 15 kills in a win against San Francisco (11/9/13)... recorded a season-high six blocks against Santa Clara (11/9/13)... recorded five blocks in a win over BYU (11/23/13)...was named first-team All-WCC...named to the WCC All-Academic team... helped lead USD to the best season in program history, as USD defeated No. 1 USC, then moved up to No. 2 in the national polls, marking highest ranking for any team in USD division I history...she helped lead USD to the WCC championship...helped lead USD into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.


Played in all 28 matches rotating between the middle hitter and outside hitter positions...was named All-WCC Honorable Mention... helped the team capture a share of the 2012 WCC Championship, and earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament...was second on the team in kills (280) and blocks (71)...recorded double digit kills in 12 matches...recorded a career-high 18 kills against Pepperdine (11/3/12)...recorded 15 kills against both BYU (10/31/12) and against Portland (11/8/12)...recorded 14 kills against USC (8/7/12)...recorded 13 kills against Notre Dame (9/8/12), Fresno State (9/14/12) and against Portland (9/29/12).


Played in 19 matches as a true freshman...came on late in the season and got a lot of playing time, as she recorded seven kills in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Long Beach State (12/2/11)...recorded a season-high eight kills in a loss to Pepperdine (11/19/11)...recorded a season-high three blocks against Long Beach State (11/2/11)...helped lead the team to the second round of the NCAA Tournament... helped lead the team to the best overall record in program history at 28-5.


Played varsity volleyball at Edison High School for two a senior, she was named first-team All-CMAC and was the team's best offensive player after helping guide her team to its first-ever Valley Championship with a perfect 10-0 record in league a junior, she was named first-team All-CMAC...also played and lettered in basketball where she was a three-time team MVP as well as a first-team All-CMAC selection...played club volleyball for the Asics Sports City 18-1.


Alaysia Marie Brown was born on July 5, 1993 in Gardena, Calif....she is the daughter of Freda Fowler and Kasey Brown...was heavily recruited by Rice, San Francisco, Oregon State, Tulane, University of Texas at El Paso, Columbia, New Mexico State, Cleveland State, and San Diego State...chose to attend USD because of the education, the outstanding volleyball program, and surroundings...notes that she had a 4.25 GPA in high school, and was her class Valedictorian.
