Played in 113 sets as a setter for the Toreros...helped lead USD to the second round of the NCAA Tournament...was named All-WCC honorable mention...led the team with 1,095 assists (9.69 aps), while also recording 39 blocks, and 39 kills...posted nine double-doubles...recorded a season-high 68 assists in a win against Pepperdine (9/29/15)...recorded 57 assists in a win against Santa Clara (11/21/15)...recorded 52 assists in a win against Gonzaga (11/12/15)...recorded 51 assists against Gonzaga (10/1/16)...recorded a season-high 16 digs to go along with 44 assists in a win against Saint Mary's (10/8/15)...recorded 15 digs, and had 51 assists in a win against Gonzaga (10/17/15).


Played in 30 matches with nine starts as a setter in a 6-2 system... helped lead the team into the NCAA Tournament...named to the All-WCC Freshman team...recorded 602 assists...recorded a season-high 32 assists in a win against BYU (10/17/14)...recorded 30 assists in a win against Pacific (10/10/14)...recorded 29 assists against Saint Mary's (10/8/14)... recorded 28 assists against San Francisco (10/414)... recorded 28 assists against San Francisco (10/4/14)...recorded two double-doubles, one against Cal State Northridge (9/19/14) and the other against Pacific (11/6/14).


Prepped at Quincy Notre Dame High School...was a three-time letter winner, as well as lettering in both basketball and a senior she recorded 833 assists, had 28 aces, 117 digs, 58 blocks, 65 kills as a starting setter...was a three-time first-team All-Area selection, and a three-time All-State honorable a junior she recorded 814 assists, 22 aces, 121 digs, 58 blocks and 54 a sophomore she recorded 821 assists, 26 aces, 109 digs, 40 blocks and 54 a sophomore she helped lead her team to the state championship...played club volleyball for the Riverfront Bruisers.


Kristen Taylor Gengenbacher was born on January 3, 1996 in Quincy, Illi...she is the daughter of Rick and Becky Gengenbacher...chose to attend USD because of the beautiful campus, the outstanding USD education, plus the athletic and spiritual opportunities she feels no other school has to offer...she comes from an athletic family, as her mother played softball at Illinois State, her sister Karlee played basketball at the Minnesota State University Mankato, and her other sister Kassidy played basketball at Lindenwood University.
