In the third set, it was a back and forth battle all throughout the frame. Late in the set with the score knotted at 16-all, the Cyclones went on a 4-2 run to take a 20-18 lead. USD never gave up, as they answered back with a 6-2 run to take match-point at 24-22. In the fourth set, it was all Toreros, as they raced out to a 7-2 lead, and never looked back. USD would eventually build up a lead to as many as 13 at 22-9 on a Chloe Ferrariservice ace, before eventually completing the upset win, 25-13 win.
