SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's volleyball team has made program history, as they have received a No. 9 national ranking in the latest AVCA top-25 poll. This is the highest ranking in program history.

"We are very excited to be recognized by the AVCA poll at No. 9," stated head coach Jennifer Petrie. "Our schedule has been challenging, and I am very proud of our team's accomplishments up to this point. There is a lot of season left to play, but we are certainly enjoying the ride."

USD posted a 2-0 record this past week, as they defeated, then No. 11, Iowa State, 3-1, and, then No. 18, Illinois, 3-1. This marked the second and third consecutive wins over ranked opponents this season.
