Getting to Know the Toreros

Oct. 22, 2007

If you had one million dollars, where would it go?
First in the bank, then to my family and finally to me

If you could be any animal, what would it be, and why?
A cat. I have always wanted to be one and when I was younger I used to think I was one :

What is your biggest pet peeve?
Baby voices (that other people make), tardiness and smoking.

What has been your most difficult adjustment at USD, in San Diego?
At USD, the physical demands of volleyball and in San Diego, the traffic and the driving.

If you had a supernatural power, what would it be and why?
I would love to fly for obvious reasons like impressing my friends and bypassing traffic.

What is the biggest difference in high school volleyball and college volleyball?
The level of play. It's so much more competitive and a much faster tempo.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you thus far here at USD?
I hit my head on a car window thinking it was rolled down.

Who did you imitate as a child and why?
Pop Stars like kids on the Disney Channel, because I wanted my life to be like theirs.

Who would you cast to play you in a movie?
Katharine Heigl

Life would be perfect if...
There was no war and the environment was safe.

I feel most comfortable when wearing...
Jeans, a black shirt and my rainbows.

If you could go on any reality television show, what would it be and why?
I would be on the Amazing Race because I would love to see the world and I think I would be driven enough to succeed at it.

What is your dream car and why?
BMW M5 because I love how classy they look.

What is one talent you don't have that you wish you had?
I would love to dance!

What do you miss most about home?
My pets and my parents.

What is your biggest adjustment to college life?
Being responsible for all your own possessions.

How are you handling your independence?
I'm not sure yet, I guess pretty well. If you could trade places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be and why? Probably an ambassador because I love how much they travel and how they make a difference.

What is your motivation?
My parents and my teammates.

What is your ultimate goal and why?
To win a national championship because I think that would be the greatest memory to have.

What do you like most about San Diego (non-volleyball related)?
The location and the weather.

What is Your favorite book and why?
Enders Game because I love the plot and I couldn't put it down.

What is your strength? Weakness?
My strength is I am pretty accepting and good at not judging people. As for my weakness, I am a messy and tend to get distracted easily.

What is your favorite USD sport, other than volleyball
? Swimming and diving! I grew up around it and can't wait to watch them compete.

What is your dream job?
To work for a magazine or television show, preferably something on sports and health.

One thing I do everyday is...

Eat breakfast.
