SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Junior middle hitter Katie Hoekman of the University of San Diego women's volleyball team has earned AVCA All-Pacific Region honorable mention accolades. This is the first time in her career that Hoekman has taken home this honor.
Hoekman, a first-team All-WCC selection for a second consecutive season, paced the Torero offense this season, with 294 kills (2.65 kps), while hitting for an impressive .389 clip, and she led the team in blocks with 123, 21 of which were solo. In WCC action, Hoekman was second on the team in kills with 179, while hitting for a .386 clip and as she led the team in blocks with 84. Hoekman, who took home one WCC Player of the Week award this season, was selected to the All-Tournament tam at the USC Tournament and at the USD Tournament.
