Women's Cross Country Begins 2006 Season at Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. - The University of San Diego men's cross-country team competed in their first meet of the season at Cal State Fullerton. The women's team was led by freshmen, Ashleen Nimmo who came in 76th with a time of 20:29.7. Coming in second for the Toreros was another freshman, Mariana Monasi at 20:52.9, followed by Senior Christie Osborne finishing at 21:21.7. Rounding out the women's team were Sr. Kristen Jackson (21:29.9), and Sophomore Julie Shultz (21:31.8), Freshmen, Cassandra Murzi (21:35.5) and Sophomore Riley Porter (22:05.0), and Sophomore Sarah Coxhead (22:22.1).

The Men's team was lead by Sophomore Chris Jacobs. Jacobs came in 55th with a time of 27:35.7. Following Jacobs was Sophomore Louis Barrios (32:03.1).
