Ashlen Nimmo finished a team high first place for USD

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's cross country team finished 14th in the Aztec Invitational. The Toreros were one of more than a dozen teams participating in a highly competitive race featuring No. 4 Arkansas, which won its third straight Aztec Invite. UC Santa Barbara, ranked fifth in the West Region, also participated in the race, and the West's 15th-ranked team and WCC foe Loyola Marymount.
Ashlen Nimmo was first for USD to cross the finish line in 84th place with a time of 20:14 followed by Laura Wells taking 107th overall in a time of 20:50. Rounding out the top five for USD was Erica Enyon (109th, 20:52), Sarah Coxhead (119th, 21:22), and Nicole Riley (122nd, 21:34).
USD will travel to the Griak Invitational later this week hosted by the University of Minnesota in Falcon Heights, Minnesota for their fourth race of the season.
