San Diego, CA - Torero runners showed their stuff this Saturday in a familiar place... La Jolla, California. Our varsity B squads were given their time to shine at the UCSD Triton Cross Country Invitational. All runners were given the opportunity to venture through the enjoyable eucalyptus groves for a roller coaster of a race. With alumni and greats Laura Wells and Jenessa Rose in attendance both USD XC teams were fired up and ready to race. This race was dedicated to those seniors that have inspired this program in so many ways, Maddie Levine, Mackenzie Entrikin, Lauren Infusino, and Stephanie Tucker.

Our two brave souls from the mens squad stepped up to the plate by showing their stuff. Though their finish wasn't their best, the athletes will continue to look forward to the upcoming races and fine tuning their training to further their improvements this 2012 season.

As for the women, lead by MVP Sydney Olagaray they rocked and rolled! With Olagaray's impressive 49th place finish at a time of 24:04 she lead the team to a great team finish. All of our women fought hard, including Kat Adamson, who received an honorable mention for her groundbreaking improvements throughout this season. With both of our squads racing fast and hard we look forward to continuing our season, travelling up north to the Bronco Invited in beautiful Sunnyvale, California.
